Department Secretariat

The Department Secretariat is responsible for the administrative support of various Department processes. Some of the areas that the Secretariat oversees:

• The organization of student enrollment and matriculation. The administration of student registration each academic semester, the administration of the student book ordering process, the approval of the issue of Student Academic ID’s.
• The maintenance and administration of all student records and relevant databases.
• The issuing of various types of student verification documents.
• The organization of all processes concerning student graduation and the issuing of Academic Degrees.
• The organization and administration of the academic calendar and exam periods.
• All official Department correspondence and information dissemination.
• The administration of the Faculty selection, hiring, tenure and promotion processes.
• The administration of the selection and hiring process of support teaching staff.

The Department Secretariat is located on the ground floor of the University Administration Building. The Office is open during normal business hours. Student drop in hours are between 11:00 – 13:00, Monday through Friday.

The Sections Secretariat is located in the Department of Mathematics Building and is responsible for providing administrative support to the four Department Sections.
